Indiana Peace and Justice Network
A coalition of Indian peace and justice organizations, large and small. Their directory lists over 30 organizations. The site also provides an online forum for communication between groups. A resources page is planned.

Jasper County Citizens for Peace
Our "neighbor" group, located in Renssalaer, Indiana. They hold weekly vigils in Renssalaer as well as other events.

Lafayette Friends Meeting

Bloomington Peace Action Coalition
Founded in August 2001, the Bloomington Peace Action Coalition's mission is "to stop/prevent/avert/end war and militarization by all non-violent means at our disposal." The group maintains an excellent website with lots of news and resource links

National Peace and Justice Groups

 

MoveOn.org
MoveOn began with the goal of bringing "ordinary people back into politics." The MoveOn Peace campaign was started shortly after September 11. The group sponsored the recent "Virtual March on Washington."

Peace Action
The 1987 merger of the groups SANE (Committee for a Sane Nuclear Policy) and The Freeze (Nuclear Weapons Freeze Campaign) resulted in Peace Action.

United for Peace & Justice
A new campaign created to coordinate different organizations opposing a possible war against Iraq. The group has promoted a calendar of anti-war events.

National Network to End the War Against Iraq
A network of over 250 local grassroots organizations in 47 states. Site includes flyers for download, the "Iraq Peace Pledge" and "Iraq Pledge of Resistance," and a discussion list. LAPC is a network member.

War Resisters League
Begun in 1923 by resisters to World War I, WRL believes that "all war is a crime against humanity." The group published a magazine, The Nonviolent Activist and a peace calendar. The groups main focus is "Roots, A War Resisters League Campaign Promoting Nonviolence, Justice and an End to the Militarization of Youth."
